Terms of Service

Last updated September 2026. This app is currently in private testing, not a public launch.

These terms are the agreement between you and ReclaimInbox when you use reclaiminbox.com. By signing in, you agree to them. They sit alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains what we collect and how we handle it.

What ReclaimInbox does

ReclaimInbox reads message metadata from your Gmail account (read-only) to find marketing senders, helps you unsubscribe from them, points you to companies’ privacy and data-rights pages, and keeps a history of what you asked for and when so you can tell whether a company complied.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and use a Gmail account that belongs to you. During testing, access is limited to people we’ve invited.

Actions you take are real

When you click Unsubscribe, we send that request to the sender at your direction, and some of those actions can’t be undone. The same goes for any data-rights request you send to a company. We don’t control how companies respond, so we can’t guarantee that a sender stops emailing you or that a company honors a request. What we can do is keep an accurate record, so you know whether they did.

Links to company sites

Privacy policy, right-to-know, right-to-delete, and do-not-sell links point to other companies’ websites, which we don’t control. Links marked Verified were checked by hand, but companies move their pages, so a link can go stale. Anything else is a best-effort guess.

Not legal advice

Our explanations of CAN-SPAM and state privacy laws, the sample complaint email, and our Privacy 101 articles are general information to help you understand your options. They are not legal advice, and privacy law changes often. If you need advice about a specific situation, talk to a lawyer.

Your Google data

ReclaimInbox’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Gmail data only to provide the features described above. We don’t sell it, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models.

Using the service fairly

Don’t try to access another person’s data, get around our security, overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access for anyone who does.

Cost

ReclaimInbox is free while it’s in testing. If we ever introduce paid features, we’ll tell you before anything is charged, and nothing will be billed without your agreement.

Leaving

You can stop using ReclaimInbox anytime. To remove everything we store, use Delete my data in Settings. To revoke our Gmail access entirely, remove ReclaimInbox from your Google account permissions.

No guarantees

ReclaimInbox is a small, independently run service provided “as is.” It may have bugs, go down, or change, and we may discontinue it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it, including emails a company keeps sending or requests a company ignores.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
